Komorebi is a JRPG with card based elements, based on the journey of a group of friends playing a tabletop role-playing game.

This was made for my Advanced Diploma of Games Programming Year 2 Major Project, and was 1 of 6 finalists in the GCAP 2017 Student Showcase, as well as being shown at PAX AUS 2017 at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment's booth.

It was my first time working on a game with a team of other people for a student project. The team consisted of two artists, a designer, and myself as the programmer. It was made in roughly 9 weeks so it was a little unpolished, but we were very proud of what we were able to achieve in only 9 weeks.

After receiving a large amount of interest and love from fans who played it at GCAP 2017 and PAX AUS 2017, development continued in order to polish it up to a state that we were happy to release it in.

The game may be short and lack a proper final boss, but the game is playable here (unfinished boss is included).

Disclaimer: The background music is not owned by us! Being a student project, we were required to have background music as part of the marking criteria. (We did ask and recieve permission from the composers to use their music in this project)
